Selling the cow

Well we are back from selling the cow. No we did not sell her prices were really low. So we will be off to a different auction with her next week. If we don't sell her there then she is mine for about another 8 1/2 months. Thanks for all the prayers and keep praying I have one more shot at getting her sold. If she does not sell then I guess it was just the Lord's will for me to keep her a little longer. Me,my Husband and son had a nice day spending time together so the day was worth it. Thanks very much to everybody who reads my blog it is nice to know there is people out there who care about what goes on in our life. God Bless Rebekah.

GIVEWAY

Go to www.georgiafarmwoman.blogspot.com they are giving away a cool nesting box for chickens. We are off to a special dairy sale today to sell one of our milk cows. I just don't want to milk two all winter. That was the plan though was to sell her only before she had the calf but did not work out that way. Would appriciate all prayers that we get the price my husband wants or she comes back home. Have a great day and God bless you Rebekah.

Random Farm Pictures

Here are some random pictures of the farm.

This is the baby pigs in their own pen and weaned from mommy.

The next three pictures are of our new calves I bought Saturday.

They are in this old trailer for 21 days just to make sure they don't give the other cows something. Then they will go in pens with the rest of the herd.

This is my gurnsey heifer I got a really good deal on.

Baby pigs again. The two biggest ones are our pets. We are keeping them to breed.

Kassandra and her goat.

Our new woodstove working to keep us warm and does a great job of it.

These are the fair calves. The one to the left is Kassandras. The other black one is a extra.

This is Reuben Avery's fair calf. Finally got him caught. Boy that was fun.

Still and Quite Mornings

Hello all I'm so hyper this morning for some reason. I have been awake since 3:30 and up by 3:45 to start chores. The good thing about getting up early is it is so quite an peaceful. Then you go outside it is so still and quite. I love it when I get to wake the animals up. I don't think my husband liked my enthusiasm this morning because he was not so enthusiastic. Oh well he never has been a morning person and better for him to have a joyful wife than a grouchy wife. We went to the feeder sale at the livestock auction yesterday. I bought two more steers to add to our herd and the best buy was the guernsey heifer I got for cheap. My husband thought they were nice so I was glad of that because he usually does the buying. He was at work yesterday so it was all me. I will try and post with some pictures so it is not so boring. Also it is not just me blabbing away. Well hope you all have a great day and God bless Rebekah.

For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name.

Her stripes are the same throughout. The reason his is two pictures is because it is different stripe colors throughout his. Well hope everybody has a great day and God bless you Rebekah.
