Happy Thanksgiving

Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my blogging friends. Hope it is a great day for you and your family. I have so much to be thankful for. So I will give you my list of things to be thankful for.
A husband who loves me and his family. Who works tirelessly every day to make sure we are took care of and never complaining about it.
Healthy children
To live on a farm and be able to produce my own food and dairy items.
Free to worship God and share my love for Jesus with others.
A warm home to live in.
Clothes to cover my body and keep me warm.
Food to fill me and my families hungry bellies.
Good clean water to quench our thirst.
Jesus dying on the cross.
Friends who are always there if you need them.
I could go on with this list all day but I will leave you with these.
So think about what you have to be thankful for and remember even those little things we take for granted do count. Have a great day and God bless each of you. Rebekah

Hello all I'm still here and we are all fine things have been a little busy here. We have been moving animals around for winter still not done. Just a lot of lose ends that need to be tied up and ready for winter to come. Matt is still trying to get corn out of the field. Looks like rain tomorrow so he won't get much done. He is hoping to get alot done today. I have the neighbors afghans done and will post a picture soon. I decided to make a couple more for presents. I'm working on one now and have one more to go. my daughter is going to make some potholders on her loom for the family and I'm going to crochet some. My family will be coming on Sunday for Thanksgiving dinner but since my husband will be working he has requested I make a Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving so I will be preparing two Thanksgiving feasts this year. I canned some venison from the deer my husband got oh it is so good canned. If I do not get to it on Thursday I hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving and remember to thank God for all the blessings he bestows upon you each and every day. Most of all remember the wonderful time you get to spend with your family. HAVE A GREAT DAY AND GOD BLESS YOU REBEKAH. P.S. Thanks Cindy for the seeds look so foward to seeing them next year.

Deer Hunting

Good morning all well for those of you who don't know in Michigan today is quite a big deal because it is opening day of shot gun season for deer. So all the guys are gone out hunting today. I usually go also but this year I decided to stay back so I could do chores. My husband loves hunting so I figured with me doing chores he could stay out longer. Had some breakfast before they left but will have bigger breakfast when they get back. One thing I'm going to make is monkey bread always a favorite here.

Yesterday day we went to the pasture to catch calves and bring them away from their moms for weaning. It went pretty good other than we were not able to catch Avery's calf. if you remember my post from last fair year it was ruff for him getting his calf ready. It is looking that way again this year. His is the only one that is still a bull and still with his mom. So we will try again next week to get him. He is ready to start working with him. Kassandra's calf is pretty big and she is pretty little. So mom will be kicking in alot of help with that one to get it ready for fair.

I have been working on a couple afghans for Christmas presents. When I get them completed I will post pictures. We have one neighbour on our road they are a brother and sister who have never been married. Every year we do something for them because they really are like family.I also doing something for the people that live around us .There is nine families I go to. I usually bake but really am at a loss this year what to do I want something simple. If anybody has any ideas please feel free to leave a comment and let me know your ideas. I would love to hear from you. Hope you all have a great Sunday and God bless each one of you Rebekah.

Encouragment From The Bible

As I was reading my devotions this morning I came across a prayer which should be our desire and prayer each day. Also read some verses that were very encouraging for me. Hope this is encouraging and uplifting to you also.

My heart's desire is to know You, Lord,
To walk close beside You today;
To know Your grace, Your love, Your power,
For You are my life and my way.

Psalm 42:1
As the deer pants for stream of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.

Psalm 18:32
It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.

Psalm18:1
I love you, O Lord, my strength.

Have a great day and God bless you Rebekah.

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING

Good Sunday morning to all. It is very foggy here in Michigan today. We live on a dead end dirt road which the highway runs beside. Usually you can look out and see the highway not today. Yesterday we went to an Amish auction that is always great fun. My son was able to find a motor they can use on the farm. It is usually a 100.00 motor new and I got it for 12.00. We also found some things we use to connect fence when we put it up. The box was still new unopened 10.00 price tag we paid a dollar. It is so cool when little blessings like that come along. Not much going on today. We have been staying home from church because of the flu outbreak. We really don't have a home church just been attending where my mother-in-law does. Now on to another subject crocheting. If anybody that reads has a very easy pattern or way to explain to me. I would like to make a big circle rug. When I have tried this it always ends up curling and not laying flat. Lots of times I look at those patterns and they look like Greek. Any help would be appreciated. Have a great day Rebekah.

PIG PICTURE

Here is the picture of our new boar pig I promised. He is about six weeks old. When he is big enough he will be the new daddy pig. I'm hoping to get a color other than just white. Yesterday and today have been quite thankfully. I got to finish up a baby blanket I have been working on. I cleaned the house today always a joy. Also baked two loaves of white bread and two loaves of cinnamon raisin bread. So as you can see it is not always busy if it was I think I would have to find somewhere to hide a couple days a week. Well hope everyone has a great day. God Bless Rebekah.
